Many of our customers aren't sure whether to use heat on that one spot that's bothering them, or cold.
To be honest, it's not always an exact science!
However, when an injury is recent, such as a recent fall or muscle tear, cold is typically called for in order to reduce the inflammation and swelling. To use the gel pack as a cold pack, just have it in the refrigerator. They can safely sit in your fridge (not freezer) and used when needed.
On the other side of the coin, for the ache that's been there a while, you'll typically want to increase blood flow to the area and that's what the heat will do. It'll also relax the area and help to release tension.
